About Judu rink Piiates is a series of exercises based on the teachings of Joseph H. 'ii I Piiates. These exercises can be performed on the floor (or mat) or on specifically designed equipment such as the Reformer, the Cadillac, the lower or the Wunda chair. Piiates exercises are designed to balance the body by focusing on the core muscles - the back, buttocks and abdominals. Learning to stabilize these muscles will in turn tone and trim the waistline, buttocks, and thighs while developing strength in the lower back. Participants in Piiates should experience an increase in flexibility, joint range of motion, better posture, longer, leaner, toned muscles and an overall sense of well being. Judu's passion for Piiates has transformed her life and her health. She practices the authentic and traditional style of Piiates as taught by Joseph Piiates himself. Judy began studying Piiates with a Guild certified instructor in Judu has gone on to become a certified instructor through extensive training with Peak Piiates (members of the Piiates Method Alliance). Pilate's Exercise was developed in the 1920s by Joseph Pilate's and is a method of exercise focused to improve both strength and flexibility. Pilate's has a massive following world-wide and is still increasing in popularity. Pilates is an acronym which stands for Proximal Integrating Latent Agile Toning Exercise System.

Pilates Exercise Aims

Pilates is an exercise form emphasising body alignment and correct breathing while focusing on the lower and deeper abdominals on the one hand and the mid-back and part of the shoulder muscles on the other. The goal of Pilates is to provide a greater understanding of postural alignment during movement of the human body in the three dimensional planes. This is achieved by controlled movements, proper biomechanics and flow of movement in a variety of positions (standing, prone, side-laying, supine, sitting & kneeling ).

Through Pilates people are instructed in how to move according to the body's natural harmony and alignment - moving in a way that the body is designed to move.
